No really. Today is Saturday?
The week has really flown by: between three hour long Spanish classes in the afternoon and lectures on lectures on practice tests on quizzes on essays, there really hasn't been much time to do much beyond birdwatch for a few hours every morning. Of course.
Finally saw an Emerald Toucanet. Score.
So now we're playing Scrabble and Risk in Spanish and getting ready to go out tonight. Finally got to run with Skyler to the TV towers this afternoon; we got some serious stares crashing in to town drenched and covered in mud. But that's how we roll.
Apologies for being in a bit of a rush. There's just too much to -DO- here! I can't miss a single sunset--and I want to visit an old fig tree by the waterfall where Johel says there used to be a Quetzal nest.
This morning we had an exam that had four 45-minute sections: mostly practical and in the field, identifying plants and animals and their history or ecological significance. It was no cold Imperial on the beach, I can tell you that. But it was certainly the most uniquely challenging test I've ever had in a biology class. It's a special kind of satisfaction, and gives you a whole new level of appreciation for the forest around you.
I just broke out in to "Colors of The Wind," joined by at least five others.
Celebration has commenced.
Anyhoo, here are my books to prove to you I'm actually doing work! And if you want a really crazy bonus story and aren't squeamish, ask me about the hot pink nail polish on top of my plant book. Hehe.
So great to be among crazy biologists.
Happy Saturday!!
